Questions

The questions asked most. If yours is not here, contact InsurIntel. A person answers.

For licensed agents, not for Medicare beneficiaries.

InsurIntel is built for licensed agents to prepare for appointments. It sits above the point of sale and works alongside your CRM and enrollment tools. It shows which members are about to be unhappy and gives you research recommendations for each. It does not enroll anyone and it does not recommend what to enroll anyone in.

Terms

Abrasion
The friction between the plan a member holds and the plan they get next year. The Abrasion Report sorts your book by it, worst first.
Service Area Reduction
The plan ends or leaves the member's county, per the CMS crosswalk. The member must choose a new plan.
Carrier Crossover
The carrier moves the member to a different plan they did not choose. A split crossover is when CMS names more than one destination. InsurIntel never picks one for the member.
Standard Renewal, Concerning
The same plan ID renews, and a filed change crosses the line where members feel it: premium up $20 a month or more, out-of-pocket maximum up $1,000 or more, or Part D deductible up $200 or more. A card that is gone or cut by half or more, or a Part B giveback that is gone, lands here too, whatever else changes.
Standard Renewal, Notable Changes
The same plan ID renews with a filed change below that line: a smaller premium, out-of-pocket maximum or deductible rise, a card cut by 10% or more, or supplemental benefits down 10% or more net of anything that went up. The notice of change will say so. The changes are not major, but they are noticeable.
Annual Review
No flagged change in price, deductible or supplemental benefits for the year being bought. Every member deserves an annual review, and these are the people nobody calls. They may well be fine with their plan. A review is how you find out.
IntelRank: Best, Better, Good
InsurIntel’s research recommendations. For each plan at risk, every plan in the county is scored and the closest are ranked. Best is the top third of the county, Better the middle third, Good the rest. They tell you where to start looking. They are not enrollment advice, and commission never affects them.
CMS crosswalk
The file CMS publishes each fall that says where each plan's members go for the next year.
ANOC
Annual Notice of Change. The letter a plan sends members each fall with next year's changes.
Out-of-pocket maximum
The most a member can pay in a year for covered services. Often shortened to MOOP.
Floor
CMS does not report plan enrollment under 11 members in a county, so every member count shown is a floor. The true figure is higher.
Market view
If you have not uploaded a book, you can work from the market instead: CMS enrollment for up to 60 counties you choose. Every page says "Market view" while it is on.
